My Ground Glass Photography

I forgot to post about my experiment with Ground Glass Photography. I shot these ground glass photos last week. Instead of using a Kodak Duaflex, which I do own, I used an Argus Super Seventy-five. It was a lot of fun. I think I’m going to do it again this weekend.

Tired Out

Well, about the concert on Saturday, I think the website pretty much says it all. There were long lines for food and for washroom usage. They anticipated it by allowing the concertgoers to bring in food (they originally didn’t) and between Bloc Party and Broken Social Scene sets, they brought some porta potties into the…… Continue reading Tired Out

Peephole Photography

I’d seen pictures taken with a peephole before but this $11 Super Wide Angle Digital Camera article that I came across last week was what made me want to actually shoot with a peephole. We picked up a peephole on Sunday morning and I had a lot of fun shooting with it later in the…… Continue reading Peephole Photography

No Pressure Blogging

I’ve been trying to redesign my weblog for months now but I still haven’t come up with a design that I really like, so I thought I’d just try to improve the existing design and add some elements that I’d like in a new design into it. The most noticeable addition would be the quicklink…… Continue reading No Pressure Blogging

After the Weekend

Another weekend has come and gone. I don’t think we did much. Went to see The Da Vinci Code on Friday night, which was entertaining. I haven’t read the book and anything entertaining is good in my book so that’s all I care about about the movie. Troy has posted a review if you’re interested…… Continue reading After the Weekend

What’s Up?

It’s been a week since the last time I posted an entry so I thought it’s about time for another entry. Not that there’s much to report, if any. The last week or so had been spent trying to get all sort of spyware/malware/trojans out of our computer. Some virus managed to alter Norton Anti-Virus…… Continue reading What’s Up?

Tragedies

Sometimes I think of someone I knew in the past whom I haven’t been in touch for ages and I’d do a Google search on them, just to see how they’re doing. It’s always good to know when I found that they are doing well. They might not remember me anymore, but I’d be happy…… Continue reading Tragedies

Another Call for Help

Indonesia Earthquake: As a people, they already had little – now they are left with nothing It’s not an exaggeration. Life is already hard as it is for most Indonesians without natural disasters. My own family is no exception. Some nights I just can’t fall asleep because I keep thinking about them and all the…… Continue reading Another Call for Help

Wedding Anniversary #1

Yesterday was our first wedding anniversary. We spent the day doing the laundry, playing team Cribbage games against Troy’s parents (in which they destroyed us), doing a little thrift store shopping (we finally got a chair for our porch!), having dinner in a fancy restaurant that served bastardised version of Indonesian food (the lobster martabak…… Continue reading Wedding Anniversary #1

Feeling Somber

The Victoria Day long weekend was freezing cold. We got rain, snow, and hail. I made a video of when it was snowing on Sunday morning. Troy and I didn’t make it to Quebec this year because we missed a turn and ended up in Marten River, Temagami area instead. It was the northernmost both…… Continue reading Feeling Somber
