Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

So we went to see the new Harry Potter movie today. We got to the cinema an hour before the show. The cinema doors were still locked (we were going to the matinee), but there were already people sort of lining up to get in. Anyway, we were lining up behind these four early teens who just couldn’t stop talking loudly to each other. That half an hour we spent standing in line felt so much longer because of them. A couple of times one of them screamed and ask what time it was. He didn’t say please so I didn’t volunteer to tell them the time even though I was standing right behind them and I had a watch. When someone told him the time, he didn’t bother to say thanks. Makes me glad I didn’t tell him the time because otherwise I’d be annoyed. I know it makes me sound old but whatever.

I don’t really have much to say about the movie, mostly because I don’t want to to give those of you who haven’t seen the movie any spoilers. It was enjoyable, but it’s beginning to feel like ‘just another Harry Potter movie’, if you know what I mean. The only special thing about it is the fact that it’s a new movie with a brand new story. But then again, it is a sequel, so really, what do I expect. I’m not very good at this movie review thingy so I’d better stop.

After the movie we did some grocery shopping and I was beginning to get this craving for nachos. Troy took me to Taco Bell afterwards and guess what? They actually had nachos in the menu! They might have had it in the menu forever but I just never noticed. The most important thing is, it ended my nacho craving. And that’s the end of the story for today. Exciting, eh? ๐Ÿ˜‰

  1. Ah, Taco Bell! As a kid I always wanted to go to Taco Bell to get their nachos or tostadas, but my parents always ate at the Chinese whenever we were traveling. So Taco Bell is always a special treat.
I’m not sure if the latest Harry Potter movie is already playing here, but it’s on my list to go see.

  2. MMMM, Taco Bell. Having grown up in Southern California I quite often get a craving for Mexican food and Taco Bell hits the spot. Unfortunately there are no Taco Bells in the province of Quebec! I have to wait for my few times a year trips to Ontario. So I always have the fixings for nachos in my kitchen (had two plates yesterday while watching the Alouettes squash the Argos).
As for Harry Potter, I played hookie from work on Friday afternoon and saw it on the IMAX screen in downtown Montreal. It was great (Both the movie and the screen).
