Good News vs. Bad News

Good news. Thanks to Google Adsense, I actually have money to buy Troy his birthday presents and Christmas gifts this year. Not really a lot of money, but money nonetheless. Last year, I managed to scrape enough money to buy him a small birthday present but had to use his money to buy him his Christmas gifts, which was really lame. So thanks for all the clicks, guys! 🙂

Bad news. Our Betta fish Finnegan that we adopted on my mother’s birthday in September is sick. He won’t eat and he just looks really blah. We did a lot of research last night and concluded that the little guy is feeling depressed. We bought some stuff to treat his depression today so I hope he will be back to his old self and will start eating again soon. Please send some good vibes to Finney!

Good news. Our peace lily is blooming! We bought the peace lily from a grocery store last year on the first anniversary of my mother’s death. It was blooming when we bought it, but it never bloomed again, until now. We’re very excited about it. My mum would be so proud.

Bad news. A couple of days ago, I found that Troy’s basket of Pothos that he’s had for years is dying because I kept forgetting to water it (I’m blaming it on the location). So I watered it like crazy, hoping that it would be enough to recover the plant. Today, a few of the leaves seem to have regained their strength, but most of them are still limp. I still have hopes that the limp leaves will pick up some strength soon. Fingers crossed.

Good news. Well, there isn’t really any more good news, but I like to think the fact that there is an equal number of good news and bad news means that all is good. Life is good. It could be better. But for now, good is good enough for me. And I hope that life is treating you just as well, if not better.
