Message in a Bottle

I did something that you might consider silly last week before we left Prince Edward Island. I wrote my mum a letter and put it in a bottle. After we crossed the Confederation Bridge that connects Prince Edward Island and New Brunswick, I asked Troy to throw the bottle into the Atlantic Ocean for me. We watched the bottle float, drift, and finally disappear. My mum might never read the letter, but some other person might, and she/he would know just how much I love her.

(In case you’re new to this weblog, my mother died two years ago. I miss her every single day.)

  1. that’s beautiful. perhaps by writing to your mother, someone else will be touched by your words

  2. I think it’s a sweet and loving way to share yourself with her. And if someone else finds it? How intriguing…
No one is gone until they’re forgotten.

  3. That is an ultra cool way to say “I love you Mom”
And it may just make the recipient, whomever it may be, say that to their mum.
A fine tribute if you ask me. 🙂
