It is the new year already for us futurists a.k.a. the southern hemisphereans. I was crying when I entered the year 2003 because I just knew bad things were going to happen to me, and I was right. I actually feel happyish this time of year, though. I really hope that it means good things are going to happen to me this year. I’m not too optimistic about it, but you’ll never know.
Anyway, here’s the first thing I ate this year:
It’s called Kue Dadar. The only Kue Dadar recipe I could find is rather poorly written. When they say desiccated coconut, it should be just plain, grated coconut, really. It’s basically just a pancake with a filling made of grated coconut mixed with palm sugar. It’s really yummy, and you just have to take my words for it.
Wanna know my goals for 2004?
I won’t call them resolutions. I don’t make new year’s resolutions. I call them goals. Goals are made to be achieved but sometimes you fail to achieve it and it’s okay because such is life. Anyway, here’s my goals:
- to get Book of Styles up and running;
- to get my tiny, little template shop/business site up and running;
- to celebrate my birthday anywhere but here and far, far away from my dad because I don’t think I could take any more “you’ve been bad” birthday lecture from him (he ruined my birthday that way every year);
- to make enough money to buy a nice digital camera so I could stop torturing you with crappy pictures taken with my cheap webcam.
Um, I think that’s all. And please, stop whining to me about Book of Styles because it really, really, really annoys me. I’ll get it up when it’s ready, ‘kay? ‘Kay.
Now let’s start the ride into the new year and let’s hope the road will be less bumpy than it was last year!
