Behind the Stormy Sky

Why didn’t you ever tell me that the comment form wouldn’t save your information? Oh wait. You never did comment so you had no way to know! I got it. Sigh. I guess that’s what you get for being a blog lurker. Lurkers beget lurkers. Anyway, just wanted to let you know that the comment form cookie script is fixed and that if you don’t want to have to fill out your name/email/URL ever again when you’re commenting here, just leave a comment on this entry and check “Remember personal info?” box before pushing the “Post” button. If you don’t really have any comment, just tell me what your favourite ice cream flavour is. Mine is Gold Medal Ribbon™ from Baskin Robbins. Mmm, ice cream…

I was going to cut the entry short there but I thought I might as well tell you more because who knows when I will feel compelled to update this here blog again next. Soooo, I had three firsts this past weekend. The first first was buying a lens for my DSLR new instead of used. Well, technically Troy bought the lens but you know what I mean. He bought me the lens I’d been wanting for awhile, the Canon EF 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM, because he’s the most awesome husband in the world. Yay! The second first was selling prints. Oh yes, SMooSH and Loba, you are indeed my very first buyers. Your names have been recorded in the history of my life. Or something to that effect. And the third first was being the official photographer for someone’s wedding. I tried to shoot scenes that I thought would look romantic and wedding-y and stuff but I think the results look more funny than anything. Oh well. Let’s hope the newlyweds won’t defriend me after seeing the results.

And oooh, oooh, Friday next week we’re going to begin our two-week adventure out west! So excited! I still have yet to decide which ones of my 170-something film cameras to bring. Troy would only let me bring three of them, sadly. But he’s the one who’s going to be carrying all those cameras all over the place for me so it’s understandable. πŸ˜€ Last night I actually had a dream about the trip in which I forgot to bring my film cameras and I was so upset. I had my DSLR with me but I was still upset. I take it as a reminder for me not to forget to bring the film cameras, or else. As much as I love my DSLR camera, film is still my favourite medium.

Well, I think that’s all the news for now. I’ve got stuff to do. You know, like procrastinating from doing stuff. It keeps me busy. πŸ˜‰

  1. I had no idea! We love the prints by the way. And for the record you will have the honour of being the first artist to have a place on the wall of our daughters room.
Your art will be impressed into the Lily’s earliest memories. Forever. πŸ™‚
