What Can I Eat When My Teeth Hurt? Just so I know what to cook for Troy. He is getting one of his teeth pulled out by an oral surgeon on Friday. If there’s any soft food that you’d like to recommend and that you think Troy might like, feel free to post it in the comments. Just make sure it’s easy to make. I’m not much of a cook. :)

I was about to suggest a congee of some sort, but since he doesn’t like rice… maybe mashed potatoes? A savoury souffle? Maybe a cup of Chawan Mushi?

How about soup? No chewing necessary!

Sweet potatoes or squash is good, if you bake it with cinnamon and mash it up. Ramen noodles are pretty soft. Creamed spinach. Cottage cheese and yogurt. Lots of soups are good. If they have chucks, you can put them in the blender to take out the chunks. These are my tricks, I’m recovering from a tonsilectomy…
