“A single can of soda a day can add up to 15 pounds a year, report says.” And that is why I decided to give up on pop completely last week. I was doing well living without pop for two years, but then I moved to Canada and pop gradually made a comeback. But now I’m determined to keep it out of my diet forever. Wish me luck!

Good luck! At the end of this month it’ll have been two years since I’ve had tea, coffee or a soda. I don’t miss them at all now.

You can totally get off soda. I did, mainly because I was totally addicted to Coke. Now it tastes awful to me, and I have no desire to drink it at all.
Unlike the previous commenter, however, if I stopped drinking coffee and tea my heart would stop beating. :-D

I can live without pop and coffee but not without tea. I love tea too much. The only coffee I’d drink is Tim Hortons Iced Cappucino. I’m giving that up as well. I’m sure I’ll get a craving every now and then but I’ll live.

Both my nephew and sister gave up pop and each one dropped several pounds.
I used to drink a lot of pop but mostly did so because it was there. I rarely drink it now and it is a treat when I do.
Beer, however, is a different story.

Fortunately, I don’t drink alcohol. :) Even the pop I like has no caffeine in it so I figured giving it up wouldn’t be that hard. I’ve been drinking tap water a lot lately. Mmm, tap water…
