My name is Firda and I am an Indonesian walking disaster. Home is Waterloo, Ontario, Canada where I live with my beloved husband Troy. I take pictures and design websites for fun. I blog for my sanity. More?
Started on February 20, 2000, Weblog Wannabe has since won several Bloggies™. It contains links to sites that I think are silly and/or interesting with the occasional ramblings thrown in for good measure.
Blogroll me or subscribe to my feed.
This weblog is powered by Movable Type. The entries are mostly the results of tireless web browsing with my best buddy, Mozilla Firefox. Site design is copyrighted by Firda Beka. That's me, not you.
I quit my job early this month because I simply couldn't bear it anymore. I couldn't enjoy it at all and it really got me depressed. I'd been planning to quit even before I worked there for a year but I thought it would be very selfish of me to do so because my family was practically relying on me for financial security since I had the highest income in the family. But I'd really had enough of it, so I quit.
I knew that if I quit my job, I'd only have enough money to last a month. And that's exactly what happened. I should've gone offline early this month but I just couldn't do it. I thought I deserved at least a month without work and with 'net access after slaving myself away for 2 years, even if I knew that I couldn't afford it. And that one month is over now.
So the webgeek wannabe finally has to leave the web. I don't know when I'll be back to blogging again since I haven't seen any job prospect yet, but I'll be back as soon as I can afford it. By the way, if you're looking to hire a weblogger, please contact me. I have mad searching skillz :) I don't know why anyone would want to hire a weblogger but hey, you'll never know.
You will see some guest bloggers around here filling in for me. They are nice people, so please try to be nice to them, 'kay? :) I really got to go now. It's almost midnight here. By midnight, I will turn into a pumpkin. Or maybe a cucumber? Well, I'll find out about it soon. Do take care and be good! ♥
Which Romeo and Juliet character are you? I am Romeo. Are you Juliet? ♥
Have some time to kill? These 8 Animal Games are available for your enjoyment. Try milking the cow, shooting the sheep, or catapulting the cat. Yeah, that sort of games. ♥
If you're not a computer geek but you want to go as one to a Halloween party, this computer geek costume won't help much, trust me. Why? Because geek is a state of mind! Hey, I might be just a geek wannabe but I know this kind of thing ;) ♥
Cleaning The Kitchen For Dummies. Learn how to clean the kitchen so your flatmate doesn't kill you. I've never had a flatmate, but when I was in college, my parents went abroad for nearly 2 months and left me to take care of my brothers and the house. It was like having flatmates from hell. ♥
Wednesday Morning Haiku
My last day online
What's a webgeek wannabe
Without web access?
Just a geek wannabe, I guess :) Well, I dreamed of getting a lot of (non-spam) emails last night. I thought it wasn't a dream until I checked my email as soon as I woke up and found that there were only two (non-spam) emails in my inbox. Oh well. Thanks for the email, Stan and Alex! One of the emails I got in my dream was from Matt. The email was written in perfect Indonesian. He wrote that he was going to be in Bali in 2 weeks. It's funny because as far as I can remember, Jordan is the only online friend with whom I've ever talked about travelling to Bali.
I also dreamed of getting lost in a market. I went there with my brother and sister-in-law. I was told to wait for them somewhere while they went to buy some snack, but after waiting for a long time, they still hadn't returned. So I decided to look for them and got lost in the rather spooky-looking market. And then I found myself in our car with my brother. He was driving and a policeman stopped our car because he was driving too fast. Brother was convinced he didn't do anything wrong. Policeman told my brother to bribe him or he'd bring this case to the court (common practice here). Brother still insisted not to pay anything. And then I woke up.
Anyway, I'll still post some links today. Those will be the last bloggage for awhile. From me anyway. Feel free to message me on ICQ or AIM so I could say goodbye to you. I know I should be the one who messages you instead of the other way around but, you know, I'm always too shy to start a conversation. Being online for 4 years and a half doesn't make me any more confident :) ♥
Does anyone know of any free email service with both POP and SMTP servers? Or maybe you have such email account you can give me? I need one to replace the one from my ISP. Let me know, 'kay? ♥
Take the Vocabulary Quiz and learn just how poor your English vocabulary really is. My score? 3 out of 10, thank you very much. And I guessed on all of them because I had never heard of any of those words before. ♥
Hyro Games Arcade has a bunch of classic arcade games in Flash that you can play online or download (PC and Mac versions available). My favourite is definitely Parachute Panic where you get to rescue some paratroopers who are jumping down from a helicopter with your boat while avoiding the coconuts thrown by the evil monkey from the shore. I remember playing the Game & Watch version of it for hours when I was a kid. Those were the days. ♥
If you still can't figure out the difference between "you're" and "your" (and other similar mistakes), Basic and Advanced You're might be able to help you. If you can figure it out already, read it anyway for a giggle. ♥
Thank the deity of your choice, Cam finally got around to making blogdex's looks configurable. Now I can get rid of the yucky blue-and-yellow look. Yay! He still keeps the rather odd, Chelsea-candy-inspired logo, though. But that's okay, considering he's added the "link open new windows" box. It's all good. Too bad I only have one day left to enjoy all the new features. Sigh. ♥
Actually, I am A LOT more scandalous than I appear. Bringing Weblogs.Com is only one of the many scandals. Seriously. *evil cackles* ♥
I don't know how Christina Aguilera could end up among The World's Scariest Musicians. Now Michael Jackson is another story. I wouldn't want to meet him in a dark alley. I don't know why, but I get the impression that Jacko will glow in the dark. ♥
Tuesday Morning Haiku
I'll bid you farewell
In less than 48 hours
Wish time would slow down.
Last night I had a dream that I was being punished with death penalty. Twice. I don't know for what crime. But I didn't die. I survived each time. I ran away from the morgue after the first execution but they managed to capture me. Then I was executed for the second time. This time by drowning. I was being drowned in a tub along with a man who did look like a criminal and -- this is the funny bit -- a carrot. When we were in the process of getting drowned, the carrot told us to eat it so that we could be invisible for a few minutes and we could run away. So we ate it. And ran away we did. The prison looked like a combination of the American embassy compound and an amusement park. I remember seeing a carousel there. I remember that after the first failed execution I went to buy some ice-cream near the carousel where I met up with some girls from college, and the girls were like "Where have you been? We've been searching all over for you!" I remember a female guard letting me leave the prison with a smile after the second execution even though she'd been ordered not to let me go. I remember feeling so free before I woke up (and felt imprisoned again).
It was such a depressing dream. But at least I didn't die. And now "Survivor" by Destiny's Child is playing inside my head. Ack! How I hate that song... ♥
Take The Gullibility Test to find out how easily you could be fooled into accepting a false claim as the truth. I didn't score very well. I answered only 6 of the 20 questions correctly. I believed 7 of the false claims, and disbelieved 7 of the 10 true statements. What does that say about me? ;) ♥
Star Wars Origins is a one man's attempt to figure out where George Lucas got his ideas for Star Wars. According to him, he got his ideas from Flash Gordon, Akira Kurosawa films, Lord of the Rings, 2001: A Space Odyssey, Ben-Hur, and The Wizard of Oz, among others. It's pretty interesting and slightly amusing. ♥
This is how MSN Portal would look like if it was HTML compliant. Compare it with the original. I think the former should look better in Opera and Mozilla than the latter. ♥
Wanna see Mr. T sing "Treat Your Mother Right"? Watch this Flash movie. Be prepared for bad spelling galore, but I guess it's part of the whole funny package. ♥
Hmm, "The Long and Winding Road" by the Beatles is among The Worst Songs by the Best Musicians and so is "Smooth" by Santana. I like those songs. I don't think they're bad. Well, to each his own, I guess. ♥
By the way, I'm still going to write the crappy, dorky novel I was planning to write for NaNoWriMo! but I don't think I'm going to be able to post it online. If you want to read it, just send me an email and I will email it to you whenever I have some cash to spare to get online for a bit. I want to feel like one of those web celebrities who get lots of people pre-ordering their books, only without the money bit, so pleasepleaseplease email me? :) ♥
I did enjoy all the attention I got from the weblogging community after the unintentional ping of death I did a couple of days ago which caused Weblogs.Com to go down, but this thing has grown a bit old now. I want the number of my site visitors to return to the usual 400-something again, dammit!
You want full story? Here's the full story: I noticed that some of my readers who relied on the service provided by Weblogs.Com and Blogtracker to keep track of my weblog updates couldn't do so anymore because Blogger hadn't supported XML-RPC yet, so I decided to search for a script to make my readers' lives a bit easier. I found a site that linked to this code. I thought to myself, "Hey, it's cool! It's only one line!" So I added it into my Blogger template. I didn't write the code and I didn't know if it worked at all until I found this in my referrers' stats and learned what it had done to Dave's "house of cards". I removed the code from my Blogger template immediately, but by then my site was already blocked from Weblogs.Com for ping spamming. That's all. Nothing interesting, really. ♥
Monday Morning Haiku
I'll remember you
Will you remember me too?
Somehow I doubt it.
"Thou art clever, and resourceful, and <insert garbage here>."
That was an ICQ message from a friend that I received yesterday. I would've laughed when I read that hadn't I been in a crappy mood. I did laugh when I re-read it this morning. I guess I'm in a better mood today :)
You know, I hope you'll never have to learn the meaning of "true friends walk in when the whole world walks away" by experiencing it. Sure it's good to know that you have true friends, but it's not a good feeling to know that the whole world has walked away from you. Of course you can always say who needs them anyway, but you can't lie to yourself. You can't help longing for things to go back to normal again, whatever normal means. I learned it the hard way. I'm still hurting. (I'm talking about offline situation here, in case you're wondering.)
Anyway, I'm supposed to say only happy things here so here's the happy thought for today: [thinking for about 15 minutes] we're all living under the same big sky. Okay, so it's not very original. Just shoot me. I have nothing in happy thought department right now so you just have to settle with that :P ♥
To be continued tomorrow, when Firda is sure she's awake. ♥
Rebecca's been trying to convince me that cold pizza tastes just as good as the one fresh from the oven, but in vain. I was searching for a cold pizza addiction support group for her, but instead I found this news about a scientiifc research on why cold, left-over pizza, tastes so good the morning after. Well, I have to admit, cold pizza does taste much better than cold curry. ♥
Lingua Romana Perligata is a Perl module that makes it possible to write Perl programs in Latin. This site reminds me of Matt, the only self-proclaimed BOFH I know. May his new computer (Helen by day Cassandra by night?) arrive soon. ♥
The Two Mathholes: A Mathimusical Spectacular sounds funny. It's got songs and a music video. Well, actually, the main reason I blogged this is because Troy (still no hyperlink) goes to the university that the Two Mathholes go to. But it does sound funny!
Hmm, since I can't find anything blogworthy today, I think I'll just blog stuff that reminds me of my friends. One down, seven more to go! ♥
Fixed Width Days is a site in one file. It only contains of ASCII art and text. It's simple. It's pretty. It's cute. It's interesting. It's original. And it's only a few kilobytes in size. Love it. ♥
Sunday Morning Haiku
I'm going to blog
Like I've never blogged before
Got three days left.
I was feeling annoyed when I woke up this morning because I couldn't remember the dream I had last night, but then I thought of the pinging fiasco and it reminded me of the dream. It was a really dorky dream. I dreamed about the fiasco and that many people were cursing me for that in their blogs. I went to Fairvue and found that even Nikolai had blogged about that, too. He didn't curse me, though. He just wrote something like "even a geek wannabe can bring Weblogs.Com down" which amused me to no end. [Update: Someone actually posted something close to that in his blog.]
And then I found myself and my big brother getting lost in a cave. Must be because I read about the Bell Witch Cave before I went to bed. When we finally found our way out of the cave, I read about our adventure in a weblog. Not sure who posted it, though. Then I learned that my little brother had joined the UN peacekeeping troops in Cambodia and I saw his troop getting ambushed by guerrillas inside a cave that looked like the same cave my big brother and I were in earlier. I also read about the ambush in a weblog.
You're not officially a weblogger until you start dreaming about weblogs in your sleep :) ♥
Am I going to be remembered as the girl who brought Weblogs.Com down with excessive pinging? ;) ♥
Have you ever been to any of the America's Most Haunted Places? Reading about these places really gave me the creep. I don't think I'd want to visit any of them. I'm a wuss, remember? ♥
On Being a Longhair is more or less a FAQ. A longhair being a man with long hair, particularly hair long enough to fall upon the shoulders. I know at least half a dozen longhairs in Bloggerville. I blogged this just for them :) ♥
If you want to not only look sweet but also taste sweet on Halloween, just apply the Halloween Edible Makeup all over yourself. Not sure how it would taste when mixed with your sweat. Ewww! ♥
I just added this line of code into my blog template to let Weblogs.Com know when I update my weblog. I'm not sure if it works, so if you're using Weblogs.Com or Blogtracker (formerly Subhonker Filter) to keep track of your favourite weblogs and my weblog is among the weblogs that are lucky enough to be your favourites, please let me know if it shows up as recently updated. Thanks in advance!
(I know that Ev is working on making Blogger-powered weblogs support the new Weblogs.Com, but he didn't say when exactly it's going to be implemented and I just don't deal with uncertainty very well so there you go.)
Update: Ooops! I guess I'll have to find a less harsh code to use. Stay tuned! If you know of any simple PHP script that can do the same thing without bringing Weblogs.Com down, please let me know. I'll be forever in your debt :) ♥
Saturday Morning Haiku
Yet another day
Has come and will be gone soon
Only four days left.
Last night I heard someone knocking my bedroom window. It was around 3AM. Being the wuss that I am, I didn't have the guts to check who it was. Instead, I just threw a blanket over my head. As it turned out, it wasn't my bedroom door that was being knocked. It was the door downstairs. The nightwatchmen were trying to wake us up to let us know that two people had tried to break into our car. Luckily, the nightwatchmen saw them before they managed to steal anything, but they didn't manage to catch the burglars.
I thought I'd have a nightmare after that incident, but no. Instead, I had a pretty nice dream. I dreamed that I was getting married. But as usual, I can't remember what my groom-to-be looked like. All I can remember is that he was funny and he was a pilot. But not just a pilot. He was a spaceship pilot. And we lived in the outerspace. Go figure. ♥
Are You an Asian Fetishist? Just in case you need a quiz to tell you that. You know who you are ;) ♥
Z U L U - P.I.S. is not really the kind of game I'd normally play since it involves blood and guns, but I find getting yelled angrily by some guy in a language that you can't understand very amusing, so I blogged this anyway :) The game itself is not so bad if you're into this kind of thing. It's in Danish but it's pretty easy to figure out. ♥
Can I Draw? Finally, an AmIHotOrNot clone that allows you to rate people's creativity rather than just looks. The pictures rated here are the works of illustrators, photographers, and designers. You can also submit your own works. ♥
Do you want to dump someone but don't want to do it yourself? Just call the Rejection Line and they'll do all the dirty work for you. Listen to these samples for a giggle. I wonder what the rejectees (is that a word?) have done to deserve it. ♥
John passed me the System Tray Steeplechase baton, so here's the boring systray of mine:![]()
From left to right: task scheduler, volume control, Audiogalaxy Satellite, WinAmp, AOL Instant Messenger, ICQ, and my beloved 56k dial-up connection. Audiogalaxy Satellite and WinAmp were opened only for this occasion to make my systray look less lame. They are normally closed since they always slow down my already slow connection.
There's not much to tell about my computer, except that it's a 5 year-old PC with Intel Pentium 100 processor, 16MB of RAM, 1.5GB of hard disk space, running on Windows98.
And now I'm passing the baton to, um, Nikolai? ♥
Friday Morning Haiku
Grey but hot morning
It's not my kind of morning
I wish it would rain.
I got 35 new messages in my mailbox waiting to be downloaded into my inbox and guess what? All of them are spam! Man, I feel so popular. You know, if spam were true, I would've got a loan approval without having to apply for one and my non-existent penis would've been bigger. Stupid spammers.
Bah, why is it so hard to find happy things to blog about? ♥
What's Your Peanuts Personality? I'm Sensitive Linus. Isn't Linus the geeky guy? If so, how appropriate ;) He's not? Oh. I must've mistaken him for that Linux guy. Oh well. But just like Linus, I too have a blanket that I love, but its colour is yellow instead of blue. ♥
There are as many big things in Canada as there are quirky things in Japan. I still don't know why I decided to blog this. Must be the easily amused part of me that found those sites blogworthy. ♥
I only know two songs from The Top 50 Worst Guitar Solos of the Millennium and I really can't remember what the solo guitar part is like. But then again, I've never really liked "When I See You Smile" by Bad English and "Hold the Line" by Toto anyway. ♥
Are you good enough to join the clique that you can't join? Well, I'm sure you already know the answer. It's actually a parody, and they have a good point. ♥
Thursday Morning Haiku
This morning I had
A bubble gum for breakfast
Better than nothing.
I had a dream about a chat bot that could kill people last night. The bot looked for a random person to chat with on AIM and then killed them with words. I shouldn't have spent so many hours flirting and asking some bots to marry me last night.
You know what I'm going to miss the most when I'm no longer blogging? I'm going to miss making you smile the most. I'm not blogging for fame or anything. I'm blogging to bring smile into your face. I love making people smile. It's what I do best. Or so I've been told.
Now do me a favour and smile. Cheese!!! ♥
This is a placeholder for an entry about an idea for a collaborative web project that I just came up with about 5 minutes ago. Stay tuned. Update: Nevermind. I don't think it's going to work. ♥
Still can't decide on a costume to wear on Halloween? Check out these Dumb Halloween Costumes. They might give you some inspirations. If I were you, I'd go for the "Piece of Bubblegum Stuck to the Bottom of a Shoe" look. ♥
Make your own Tacky TV Antennas and annoy your neighbours. Speaking of tacky TV antennas, my father has an indoor TV antenna with Xena figurine on it. I kid you not. Not sure if it works, though. Not sure where he got that from either, but it sure is tacky. ♥
If you like the drawings at Exploding Dog, you might enjoy playing red robot's journey. I don't really know what the game is all about since my monitor is all blue and all I can see is darkness, but the background music sure is annoying. ♥
Shall I Kill My Fish Or Not? My fish Jordan suffered from similar disease, but I didn't kill him. It was sad to see him that way, but I just felt that I had no right to take his life away. So I let him live in his lopsidedness. He finally died a couple of months later. ♥
There are plenty of Borrowed Words in English. Did you know that you borrow these words from my mother-tongue? Well, from Malay anyway, but Indonesian language is akin to Malay, and "gamelan" is definitely an Indonesian word. ♥
Learn how to be evil on a budget, or, how to threaten the free world on fifty dollars a day. I *so* can't afford this. I don't even have a cent next to my name, let alone fifty dollars! ♥
I'm always too shy to start a conversation with anyone online, except for chat bots. Last weekend, I was feeling chatty, so I decided to chat up a bot and propose him to marry me. I was sure it was a bot, but after reading the bot's creator's comments on it, I'm not so sure anymore. Anyway, today I decided to propose two other bots to marry me: SmarterChild (shortish) and LeknorChat5 (longish). Both turned down my proposal. I am a loser. ♥
I have 6 items in my yellow duck collection now: 3 stuffed ducks (including the infamous Quack), 2 rubberduck keychains, and 1 yellow duck postcard. Half of the collection came from nice folks I met online. It's always nice to hear from folks telling me that they saw a yellow duck somewhere and instantly thought of me. It also makes me wonder if they'd be surprised if they met me someday and found that I'm not really a yellow ducky :) ♥
Wednesday Morning Haiku
The morning is grey
And my monitor is blue
One silly haiku.
My monitor was acting normal for about 3 minutes this morning, so I still got to see a few sites in their true colours, which was nice. I just opened my window and the cold air rushed into my room. That was nice too. I had a dream of travelling again last night, only this time it was with my mum and big brother. My brother was driving. In reality, my bro's driving could pass as a nightmare, but not in my dream. It was a nice dream. I've been listening to 3 Alanis Morissette songs only these last 3 days. "Unsent" reminds me of my crushes. "Joining You" reminds me of myself. "Heart of the House" reminds me of my mother. Those are nice songs, and no, I'm not feeling angsty. Singing along to Alanis songs is a nice time killer, and you get to scream out loud. It makes a pretty nice release. Another nice thing is my goldfish have become greedy again. This nice entry is brought to you by the letters N, I, C, and E, and by the number 3. ♥
Does anyone know what the lo in the phrase "Lo and behold!" actually means? I'm really curious. ♥
If you are experimenting with a layout or a design and need some text to put as a filler before putting up the real content, The Deluxe Transitive Generator will create the text for you. All you have to do is insert two lines of code into your html and define the number of sentences you'd like. The generator will do the rest. Very handy indeed. ♥
If I was an inventor, I think most of my inventions would end up in the Museum of Unworkable Devices. My favourite unworkable device from the museum is definitely the Simanek's Bouncing Ball Engine. It's just so silly! ♥
"Lap Dance" by Jim McNeill is a pretty amusing Flash movie about a guy who is owned by his cat. ♥
If you get kicked by your host, broke, or looking for cheap bandwidth and your site is non-commercial in nature, Spoke And Axle will match you with hosts that are willing and able to host your site for free, for the love of the web. I like this concept. ♥
My usually greedy goldfish refused to eat this morning. The end must be near.
Another news from the animal front is, there's a scary-looking bee the size of my thumb roaming my bedroom, uh, sky. Getting stung by it must feel quite lovely. I got stung by a bee once when I was a wee little girl, about 4 or 5 years old. The bee stung my right hand. It was a blessing in disguise. It made me able to tell which was right and which was left.
Have you ever got stung by a bee? ♥
Is that Robert Downey, Jr. in Elton John's "I Want Love" video or am I just hallucinating? ♥
Happy Mole Day! This year's theme is "2001: A Molar Odyssey." For more molar puns, check out these Mole Day jokes. ♥
Tuesday Morning Haiku
Waking up amused
What a silly, silly dream
Of king and undies.
It must have something to do with my mum's obsession with cheap undies. She always buys me a bunch of cheap undies every time she goes to the market because, according to her, cheap undies last longer than the expensive ones. Whatever.
Anyway, I had a dream that I was wearing cheap, baby blue undies which were supposed to belong to a king who was visiting my place to watch videos (don't ask). His wife (the queen?) was so busy looking for the blue undies. She said she bought two, but she couldn't find the other pair. I told her I was wearing it, and she was like, "Oh. Now that you've worn it, the king must not wear the same undies. It will lower his status." And I was like, "Huh?" Why would a man wear a women's underwear anyway, or rather, why would a king wear cheap women's underwear? This is one of those dreams that I really don't want to know the meaning. ♥
According to the Simpsons personality profile quiz, I am Bart. I always thought that I was Lisa, but now that I think of it, I am more Bart than Lisa, only with better grades and worse relationship with the dad. ♥
Mildred's House of Signage has a bunch of pictures of interesting signs, mostly from Chicago area. If you live or have lived there, you might recognise some of them, if not all. Some of the signs are pretty amusing. The ones under "Bad Spelling" category are my favourite. ♥
Monday Morning Haiku
Every day's the same
Different songs I listen to
Are the only change.
The highlight of this morning is installing a Flash Chat. It works, but it still needs a lot of tweaking. The prospect of tweaking a script always gets me excited. I'm such a dork. I wish I could remember where I got this Flash Chat script from. But I think if you go to hotscripts.com and go through the PHP chat scripts, you'll be able to find it.
Remind me to finish my online blogging quiz site before I go offline. That would be my legacy :) Any suggestion for a silly blogging quiz? ♥
I scored 21/35 in this MiniClip Basketball game. Not bad for someone who is not destined to be a gamer. But then again, you only need to press the spacebar over and over again to play.
In reality, I was never good at basketball. I was always in my class basketball team from junior high to high school just because I was taller than my peers, but that didn't make me any good at it. I was slightly better at volleyball, though. The only sport I've ever been good at is swimming, really. ♥
I am a poser (only 11% punk) and I feel fine. ♥
Super Monkey Ball is one evil flash game. I could never score more than 16, no matter how hard I try. I guess I'm destined not to be a gamer. ♥
By the way, I need your opinion. Do you think I should wait until the mail scare dies down a bit before I send Quack over to America or do you think it's safe to send him over now? Keep in mind that Quack is coming from Indonesia, which is one of the countries the American government suspect to be part of an international terrorism network. Let me know what you think. ♥
Take the Hitchhiker's Genuine People Personalitator Quiz and find out what machine you would be. I'm a Shipboard Computer. Nice to meet you. ♥
Apparently, MSN Tech Support consists of a bot and an auto-responder. Yet another reason not to use their service. ♥
Web Accessibility Guidelines sound a lot more interesting and easier to remember when written in haiku. *Thanks for the pointer, Richard! ♥
Sunday Morning Haiku
Been chatting with bots
Proposed one to marry me
I'm really that bored.
I've been feeling pretty uninspired to blog these last few days. Not that I don't have anything to blog. I do. There are plenty of blogworthy materials in my "Blogworthy" folder. I just haven't felt like writing the silly commentaries to go with the links. But I'll try to today. I'm getting tired of the bots and I think they've gotten tired of me too, so I'd rather blog.
Only 10 days left before I go completely offline. Don't worry. There'll be some nice folks filling out my place here while I'm away. ♥
Can you tell if it's a bot or not that's chatting with you? I wasn't sure it was a bot until much later, which was really silly since I doubt anyone that is not a bot would tell me that I am so interesting. Heh. *Link stolen from Upstream. ♥
What is the animal in you? I'm a horse. "The best way to get a horse's attention is to be patient and gentle, for the horse responds better to a whisper than it does a shout." Very true :) ♥
Hmm, I feel like parodising "We Will Rock You". I think "We Will Blog You" would make a nice parody :) ♥
While we're on the topic of songs, the Sum of Songs features some amusing popular songs with modified lyrics that math teachers can use to teach math principles, such as "We Will Graph You" (originally "We Will Rock You") and "American Pi". ♥
The Science Behind the Song Stuck in Your Head. Do we really need scientists to tell us that the cause of a song getting stuck in one's head is excessive repetitiveness? ♥
Friday Morning Haiku
I only have some
Really lame links to post now
Better than nothing?
My brother and sister-in-law are so silly. They're going to spend the night here at home when they only live a short, 5 minute walk from here. It's not a bad thing, though. With them spending the night here, I can get a break from the intensive nagging I've been receiving from my parents ever since they move out. I think they're more fun to nag at than the quiet, little me.
I've been having dreams of travelling these last couple of nights. The night before, I had a dream of travelling in China with my "boyfriend". I've never seen that guy before in my whole life but he referred to me as his girlfriend when some Chinese soldier was going to shoot me dead. "Don't kill my girlfriend! She's Indonesian. She doesn't know anything." The soldier didn't kill me. He and his troops let us go, and we continued our journey along the Yangtze River. I remember sending my brother a postcard and telling him the story about the reason the Yangtze River was called the Yellow River.
Last night I dreamed of going to the mountains with some rich girl who was supposed to be my best friend but whom I've never seen in my entire life before, along with some other people I've known in various stages of my life. We stayed at her parents' house up in the mountains. They had a pond in the backyard, and despite the cold weather, the water in the pond was pleasantly warm. At some point, we went to a posh cafe to have some hot chocolates and cakes and the owner of the cafe, who was an Arab guy, let us have our meal for free for a reason that I can't remember.
Count on me to have the strangest of dreams. ♥
Some days, nothing seems to be worth blogging. Today is one of those days. I found the Diary of a Dungeons and Dragons Character yesterday and found it slightly amusing but didn't think it was worth blogging, I'm rather short of things to blog tonight so I just thought I'd blog it. Enjoy. ♥
Go ahead, Poke the Bunny! You know you want to. Don't worry, the poor bunny won't jump and bite you. ♥
Do they still air "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire" in America? We have our own version here. I don't watch it often but the few times I did, the contestants were so, um, unknowledgeable. Anyway, in case you're interested to become a contestant or just have some time to kill, here's a link to the Totally Unofficial Who Wants to be a Millionaire Practice Center. See your ranking against those who actually made it into the hotseat. ♥
Top 10 Halloween Costumes For Guys, because Halloween is just around the corner. Costume number 1 sounds like a great idea. The first and only time I went to a Halloween party, I went as Zorrate, which was a cross between Zorro and a pirate. I was quite proud of its originality :)
So, did you wear any costume on last year's Halloween? ♥
I love "Captain Bloglog's SuperHappyMagicFun Weblog" for giving my weblog a nice review. Thanks! :) And scroll down near the bottom of the page if you want to read my weblog review. Just don't ask me about the "adorable pets" bit because I have no idea *grins* ♥
Wednesday Morning Haiku
Chewing bubble gum
And listening to Enya
Haven't had breakfast.
Bubble gum is my breakfast. How sad is it? Of course I can always eat those cheese finger cookies I baked yesterday but I'm too lazy to go downstairs to get them. Go me!
Anyway, "Book Of Days" has got to be my favourite Enya song of all time. I've been listening to it over and over all morning. I've also been bugging Matt with my stupid cgi problems all morning. In other words, I'm having a fine, fine morning.
And my mind is on a much-needed holiday :) ♥
The Truth Is Up There is a strangely addicting game where you get to videotape UFO and then see how much your videotape worths when sold. The longer, bigger, and clearer the UFO on the videotape, the more it worths. My best UFO video only worths $897. My hand is not very steady :) ♥
Meine Kleine Draw Toy is like a Flash version of MS Paint, but with more brush options. It has animated brushes and static brushes. It makes me wish I could draw. ♥
I hate war, but this random war generator really cracked me up. Making fun of CNN is, well, fun :) ♥
Systray.org is a site (weblog?) dedicated solely to system tray. You can post images of your systray here for everyone to see. Why? Um, I dunno. Because people are curious that way? ♥
I've been singing all morning and I've been trying not to feel too guilty about it. I know I can't stop the war with my singing, but if I sing you a song of your request, will you post a link to an anti-war site or article to your blog? ♥
Librarians Against War. I've never been so proud of being a librarian. It's too bad that their Emergency Declaration for a Halt to Preparations for Bombing Afghanistan was ignored by the power that be. "Cultural workers, teacher, librarians, artists: unite against vengeance for vengeance sake, unite against terror bombing as an answer to terrorism." ♥
I just realised that the only hobby I have other than the whole web thing is baking cakes and cookies. If you've never tried it, you really should. It's very rewarding. I never really follow the recipe when I'm baking anything. I just have to tweak it. That's the originality freak in me, I guess. Most people that I know offline don't believe that I can bake anything, knowing just what a tomboy I am. Surprise!
I used to be into reading, but I haven't felt like reading ever since I started blogging about 20 months ago. I still have "Cat's Cradle" by Kurt Vonnegut that Troy sent me a couple of months ago lying next to my bed, untouched. I think I'll start reading it next month, during the (Inter)National Novel Writing Month. It might give me some inspirations.
So, do you have any hobby that is not web- or computer-related? ♥
Tuesday Morning Haiku
My blue-tinted screen
Bleed my eyes like nothing else
I need a new screen!
I hate it when my monitor is feeling blue. Anything blue that appears on the screen becomes invisible, and since most links are blue, well, I'm sure you can tell the rest. Sigh. Oh well, at least I'm not in a bad mood anymore, thanks to Rebecca who listened to me complaining about everything and nothing last night until I had nothing to complain anymore :)
Something really made my morning. I found that if you enter "wannabe" into Google and hit "I'm Feeling Lucky", you'll be brought to this very page! How cool is that? Well, maybe not so cool, but it's very cool for the easily entertained me. It proves that I am indeed your lucky ducky! ♥
Top ten reasons why there won't be a Chinese-American president any time soon. I think #5 is true for every Asian of any ethnicity. ♥
UPS Quick Cost Calculator might come in handy around Christmas time. ♥
Watching rubberducks swimming is strangely soothing. ♥
Monday Evening Haiku
Images of war
Haunting me repeatedly
This is not justice.
Justice is supposed to be a good thing. If we call this justice, I don't dare to imagine what injustice is like. There is "no glory in unjust war on the weak". Read that article, and maybe you'll understand what I mean. "You can't beat cancer by killing every cell in the body--or you could, I guess, but the point would be lost."
I'm waiting for Rebecca, the leader of the "Firda's Cheering Up Squad", to go online and do what she does best. I hope she will go online tonight. If not, I guess I'll have to go to bed in a bad mood and have a nightmare about some horrible things like witnessing a massacre in a rice field like I did in my sleep last night. Sigh. ♥
The Adventures of Action Item is an amusing comic strip featuring Action Item, a professional superhero who likes to use a lot of tired business and internet jargons in his conversation and get nothing done. ♥
Ident-a-cat Quiz will test your knowledge on Asian comic book/cartoon cat characters. I'm quite sure all of you can recognise the evil Hello Kitty. I only knew the name of 4 out of the 9 cats in this quiz for sure but I managed to answer 6 correctly anyway. That makes me one cool Asian cat. Go me! ♥
If you work in technical field, it might be a good idea to memorise the Things to Say When You're Losing a Technical Argument. Not that I know why you would want to defend yourself to death when you know that you're wrong. ♥
These 10 Laws of Bad Science Fiction, especially law #2, really cracked me up. These laws work in movies, TV, books, and comics. If you plan to write a scifi novel in the NaNoWriMo, this article might give you some inspirations :) ♥
I felt like singing just then and thought I'd sing something and post it here so you could hear my horrible voice and my funny accent and have a good laugh, so here it is: "Here There and Everywhere" by yours truly. I'm not responsible for any hearing damage caused by listening to this song, so consider yourself warned. Standing ovation is always welcome. ♥
My design hero and blog twin Nikolai has put up the 25th Fairvue feature today (yes, he is that productive) and it's called "The Fairvue That Never Was", featuring some designs that never made it public, including a design for my first (failed) weblog-related project, "Gloat!" webzine, and another one for Weblog Wannabe. Do have a look! ♥
I posted this entry using bloggerbot, which allows you to post to your Blogger-powered weblogs via AOL Instant Messenger. Very cool! ♥
Sunday Morning Haiku
A quiet Sunday
And very, very hot too
There's no wind either.
Last week I saw "Finding Forrester", hoping that it would give me some inspirations for my NaNoWriMo novel, but it just didn't. It was a good film, but the only thing quotable from that film really was the following advice from the William Forrester character: "The way to a woman's heart is through an unexpected gift at an unexpected time." Since I don't really need the advice, I just thought I'd share it with you because, who knows, some of you might be looking to win some woman's heart.
Anyway, I've been feeling productive this weekend. I added a couple of new features into this page yesterday but I doubt anyone could tell the difference since they're done in PHP and you can't see it by viewing source. If you can tell me what they are correctly, you are undoubtedly Weblog Wannabe's #1 fan ;) I might be able to come up with some fun web project today, but as always, don't hold your breath! ♥
It's weekend and I know what you need the most is yet another online quiz ;) Well, how about taking the Internet Jargon IQ Test? I got 2 out of 10 questions wrong. I guess I'm not really as knowledgeable about the internet as I thought. ♥
According to the Star Wars Personality Test, I am Luke Skywalker. That really cracked me up. I am more Yoda than Luke, really. ♥
Are you sure you don't want to leave a comment on any of the entries I posted today? I feel so unappreciated. Sniff. ♥
I don't really read a certain weblog, but still I know which weblogger the writer of that certain weblog is seeing. All I had to do was go through the list of weblogs in the sidebar and I knew which one was it.
I freak myself out sometimes. Maybe I am psychic. ♥
If money is tight, try any of the Recession Recipes. For some reasons, this site reminds me of Patrick's (failed) attempt to cook "Nasi Uduk" last month. Must be the recession theme :) ♥
This is lame, but I really, really need you to know that my Top Gun Pilot Name is "Slam". So there. ♥
All Day Brekkie is a really cool site that lets you choose your own favourite breakfast menu and then download it as a mouth-watering desktop wallpaper. Mmmm, breakfast! I wish I could have some of the stuff I chose for my breakfast right now. I'm starving. ♥
Eh, Onclave's Wannabe? As far as I know, I am a Blogger user and have been so since day one. But that link sure brings a lot of visitors :) (Yeah, I'm a linkslut. Just shoot me.)
On an even happier note, my weblog is once again the number one result for search term "wannabe" in Google. I'm officially the biggest wannabe in the cyberworld! I'm not a wannabe wannabe anymore! I'm a real wannabe! Go me! ♥
Saturday Morning Haiku
I'm now unemployed!
Oh happy, happy, joy, joy!
Endless holiday!
To the two of you who have been worrying sick about me, I'm okay. Just too sleepy to send a message or post anything last night. The situation at the American Embassy was far from what you saw on CNN. The protesters were standing far away from the Embassy, just yelling and carrying some posters around. I was dreading my visit there for nothing. Don't trust the media. They blow up everything out of proportion.
You know, I wish I could take a picture of me while walking away from the Embassy. The street in front of the Embassy was closed so I couldn't catch a taxi there and there were many policemen and soldiers lining up. I walked in front of them like a high-rank officer giving a general inspection to their troops. I think it would make a pretty amusing picture, especially if you picture me as a yellow duck :) ♥
This is a rather amusing comparison of Things White People Do in a Chinese Restaurant and Things Chinese People Do in a Chinese Restaurant. I'm neither white nor Chinese, but I always find myself doing thing #4 from the White list and thing #10 from the Chinese list. I can't eat with chopsticks to save my life. ♥
I think these are called Lego Haiku because they consist of 5-7-5 Lego blocks. Or just 17 well-chosen blocks. I can't tell. Haiku is supposed to be simple but this is complicated. ♥
I scored 9 out of 15 in the Movie Robot or Programming Language quiz. Go me! I'm only six steps away from geekdom! ♥
Thursday Evening Haiku
Dreading tomorrow
That is what I am tonight
Wish I could stay home.
Tomorrow I will have to go to the least favourable place in town on a car with the least favourable license plate number. I can only hope that I'll return home in one piece.
By the way, did anyone notice that many people who were pacifists last month are supporting the war today? It saddens me to see that. Nothing good is going to come out of a war. It will only cause continuing hatred, and it's definitely not the way to catch terrorists. You don't burn the house just to kill the rats.
Hmm, I wish I could find the New York Times article in which Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Philippines are mentioned to be the next places to get a taste of American military action. Sigh. Do I look like a terorrist?
Oh, one more thing. Sorry to disappoint you but the Osama Bert Laden thingy is just a hoax. So there. Okay, so it's not really a hoax but Osama never really posed with Bert so it's not really true either. No? ♥
And of course, I have to go back to work tomorrow. ♥
Chicken Wings Are NOT For Flying is a really cute flash game. Not quite challenging, but still it's fun. Anything involving chicken and umbrella is good in my book. I scored 240 before I got bored. The highest score was 29,260. Wow. That person must be terminally bored. ♥
You don't have to be British to find humour (not humor) in The GonMad Cumbrian Dictionary. Apparently, the Cumbrians' favourite pastimer is gate jumping. ♥
Awww, these Puterbabies are so cute! And they have cute, geeky names, too. But since when duck is a sea creature (see bottom of the page)? ♥
Wednesday Morning Haiku
Still no work for me
I bet my computer's happy
At least I hope so.
My office is still closed so I'm staying home again. Things have been pretty nice at home. Parents have been staying out of each other's way, which is good, because that means less bitching from their part, which makes me happy. I'm trying not to think about the war and the victims of war and terrorism and all the bad things that happen to people all over the world. I just need a break. My mind needs a holiday.
On a lighter note, Jerwin adored me last month and I didn't notice it until a month later. He probably doesn't adore me anymore now but still it feels good to know. Thanks, Jerwin! :) ♥
Do you want to double your salary easily? Well, Salary Doubler will do it for you with just a push of a button. Gotta love the internet! ;) ♥
Cooking With MacGyver will show you how to bake Chocolate Chip Cookies the hard way. It's hilarious. ♥
I feel like giving up on the stupid quiz I've been working on these last couple of days, but I really don't want to since I've been making a lot of hype about it, so I've decided to ask for help from you, my esteemed readers. I need you to give me 8 adjectives (4 adjectives and the opposite of each one of them) that could be used to describe a weblogger. Please pretty please, with sugar on top? I'd appreciate it a lot. ♥
Not many things in the world are more disturbing than a Hello Kitty Hi Capacity .45 gun. It's meant to be cute, but it's just not. Not to me anyway. ♥
I scored 5 out of 12 in The Brunching Shuttlecocks' Christian Metal Band or Star Trek Episode quiz. Of course all those 5 correct answers were just lucky guesses. ♥
Death: By Lightsaber is a rather amusing cartoon animation of a fatal lightsaber accident which causes the death of Luke Skywalker. ♥
Play Tic-Tac-Toe against Henri the Educated Chicken. I've never been good at Tic-Tac-Toe, but I beat Henri anyway in both "Jr. High" and "Oxford" levels in exactly the same way. It's either I'm too smart or the chicken is too dumb. Must be the latter. ♥
Tuesday Morning Haiku
It's only Tuesnight
Too early to call a day
I can't stop sneezing.
Sorry for posting only one pathetic entry yesterday when I knew that what the world needed the most was even more pathetic blog entries from yours truly. I was going to post more, but... you guessed it. I fell asleep. I was working on that darn quiz I've been working on since Sunday, offline, on my bed, and falling asleep was just inevitable. My big brother doesn't call me "pelor" for nothing. "Pelor" is Indonesian for "bullet", but in this case, "pelor" (short for "nempel molor") is a slang for someone who falls asleep as soon as his/her head meets the pillow.
It's really windy out there, and I think I have a 'flu. I don't know why I have my fan on full speed. ♥
Monday Morning Haiku
Monday doesn't feel
Very much like a Monday
Just another day.
So America attacked Afghanistan. I hope no civilians got/will get killed. It's wishful thinking but I only hope for the best. That's the least I can do, other than pray for the civilians' safety. Due to the attack, there's no work for me on Tuesday. Not sure about Wednesday, though. I guess now I have plenty of time to finish the quiz that only yesterday I dubbed as "needing too much effort" to create. Good for Bloggerville. Maybe.
Speaking of Bloggerville, am I the only one hating the Blogdex's new look? I sure hope that it's not the finished product as it is dead ugly. Update: It looks okay now. ♥
I like how you can post to Onclave's Collaborative Weblog via email and syndicate it to an external host and display it in your own design. It gave me an idea. ♥
Congratulations to the 2001 Ig Nobel Prize Winners, and thanks for making me laugh. ♥
I'm in the middle of creating yet another silly weblogging quiz. Be excited. ♥
My older brother was the person who taught me to make paper airplanes when I was a wee little girl. There were 2 kinds of plane he taught me to make: one that was designed to fly and another that was only to fly imaginarily, i.e. you hold it with your hand and move it around in the air and you make all sorts of sound effects with your mouth and stuff. Anyway, if you're bored enough, you might want to try out the four designs at the Joseph Palmer's Paper Airplane. They need no cutting, no added weights, and no glue or tape. I'll probably give it a try. I am that bored. ♥
Sunday Morning Haiku
A windy morning
I wish the hard rain would fall
It would cheer me up.
Sorry for the lack of bloggage these last few days. I've been feeling overly blah. No news there, really. The plan was that I was to spend all weekend making Quack's travel arrangement, but so far, the only thing I've done is dividing all the 50 American states into 9 groups. I think now I know more about the U.S. map more than the average non-American. I'm already good at world map so overall, I might have better knowledge on it than, say, the folks at CNN who misplaced Switzerland where the Czech Republic should be :) Go me! ♥

What robot are you really? ♥
The Ultimate Gay & Lesbian Cars, with actual quotes from Car Talk email nominations. I've always been in love with car #2. ♥
Saturday Morning Haiku
A slow Saturday
Not that I'm complaining, no
I like slow weekends.
The worst thing about me is really my negativity. My application for employment pass to work in Singapore is not even in yet, so I really can't say that I'm not going. Also, I'll always have internet access, though I probably won't be able to spend more than an hour online every day until I start getting some sort of income again. So there. Be happy for me.
On a totally unrelated note, any idea for the title of my NaNoWriMo! novel? It is going to be a geek fairytale, but I really don't want the title to be "You Got Me At A/S/L" or "Love At First Instant Message", which are really about the only possible titles I could think of right now. ♥
Queen Shares Bath - with Duck. It's a yellow rubber duck with an inflatable crown on its head. How could I not blog this? ;) Thanks, Rebecca! ♥
Time for me to go to bed. Gotta get up and get ready for work in three and a half hours. Yikes! Here's my daily schedule: wake up at 5am, leave for work at 5.30, start working at 6.30, lunch at 11.30, go home at 15.30 and back home again at 16.30. You don't want my life. ♥
I took the How Good In Bed quiz with a certain someone in mind and here's a description of what he's probably like in bed:
Are they vivacious?
Very much so, in fact they're wild
Are they willing?
More than willing, they take every opportunity; in fact they're positively demanding
Location, location, location?
Anywhere and everywhere, even in public
How adventurous?
Wants to try everything imaginable
Lastly, their physical skill?
Fabulous
Overall rating: 4 Golden Bombs! Woo! Let's see how good I am in bed according to this quiz... Heh. I got 3 Golden Bombs. Not bad ;) ♥
Friday Morning Haiku
It's not morning yet
But it's Friday already
Long weekend ahead!
I'm going to spend the long weekend planning out Quack's trip around the world since I don't really have much time left online. It's going to be fun, fun, fun! I'll also be picking some regional coordinators whose duties will be to make sure that Quack is travelling safely and is following his schedule and that the hosts in the region under their coordination are ready to have him.
Hmm, I think this post belongs to Quack's website but oh well. You know, if I knew how to sew, I'd make Quack some clothes. He looks so... naked. If he spent winter in Canada, I think he'd freeze to death! Not that Quack is alive or anything, but I like to think that he is :) Yeah, I know what you're thinking. That crazy, delusional Firda... ♥
Immune response: what biology can teach us about appropriate responses to terrorism. I just posted this link so I could find it easily and read it later when I'm less sleepy. The title sounds interesting. ♥
Weblog Birthday Calendar is a birthday calendar for weblogs, not webloggers. My weblog was born on February 20, 2000. That's 02202000. Not quite binary, but close ;) ♥
Is it just me or is SXSW not as big as it used to be? I remember same time last year, it was all everyone was talking about. Could it be because everyone who knows what SXSW is isn't eligible to enter the competition anymore? ♥
Most of the questions in the E! Online Buffy Personality Test don't apply to me but I took the test anyway. You're looking at, uh, Buffy?
Anyway, last Saturday I was at a cousin's place and we watched Buffy simply because we were too lazy to find the remote and switch the channel. I was reminded of the reason I didn't like the show: the make-up of the female characters was way too heavy! Silly reason, I know. But then again, I don't watch much TV. The last TV series I ever really liked was "Early Edition" from many years ago. ♥
Rebecca told me earlier that if I were drunk, my bloggage would be a lot more interesting. Um, I think I'm happy enough being a boring teetotaler with boring blog entries ;) Anyway, here's some good reasons not to consume alcohol. It's funny, I promise! ♥
Thursday Evening Haiku
Been away too long
Well, 48 hour long
Long enough for me.
I bet you're missing me like crazy (yeah, right). Hmm. I don't really know what to write here. Let's see. Well, I've been talking to Rebecca about the crappy novel I'm going to write in November. It's going to be a geek fairytale. What else would you expect? Hollywood producers and book publishers, watch this spot! ;)
On a somewhat related note, am I the only one here who thinks that soulmates aren't necessarily lovers and that they can be just friends? ♥
When I heard the phrase Cat Juggling, I thought it was some wonder cat juggling some balls or bowling pins. Wrong was I. ♥
Hey, look who's the Aortal Pick of the Week over at Poodlecircus? Hint: You're looking at it. Thanks, Susanna! :) ♥
GameHippo.com has a huge collection of 100% freeware games for PC. There are many versions of Pacman and Tetris to choose from. Very cool! Not that I'm a gamer or anything ;) ♥
Ken's Virtual Drumkit allows you to play the drum online only by pressing some keys on your keyboard. Fun, fun, fun! ♥
I only scored 5 out of 20 in the Falwell-Robertson-Bin Laden Quiz. I'm sure you can do better than that. Or maybe not. ♥
TECHtionary boasts itself to be the world's first animated technical dictionary. There aren't many terms listed there yet, but it looks promising. Go check it out. It's not as boring as it may sound, I promise :) ♥
Tuesday Morning Haiku
My brown beanie bear
Is always watching me from
My monitor's top.
Do you have anything sitting on top of your computer monitor? At work, I have my brown beanie bear. A workmate from my old workplace gave it to me as a belated birthday present in 1999. My 26th birthday was my last birthday that didn't suck (all credits on my wonderful workmates). I got a cute Forever Friends bear, "Tarzan" soundtrack (don't ask), and a big bag of candies from them, but it was really all the hugs I got on that day that made it special. A hug is not something I receive every day. Not even every year.
I need a hug so badly now. ♥
Guess The TV Show or Movie Name is like Guess the Dictator and/or Television Sit-Com Character but different. I'm sure you can see the difference. Play it with a TV show or movie name in mind and see if it can guess it. I played it with this cartoon in mind but it thought it was "Beast Wars". Hmmm. I've never seen any episode from both cartoons, though. ♥
Monday Morning Haiku
A binary day
It's 100101
I am such a geek.
This is my third attempt to post something this morning. I already wrote a lot in my second attempt but Blogger was failing me and now I don't feel like writing it all over again. Basically, I wanted you to do me a little favour. You see, the highest comment count on this page seems to be 9. People seem to stop leaving comments once the comment count reached 9. Now let's make the comment count for this post exceeds 9. Post a haiku or something. It would really make my day. Please, pretty, please? ♥
